These terms govern participation in the Destination Hair Extensions Ambassador Program. By accepting an invitation to the program, you agree to the conditions outlined below. Additional terms may be added as the program evolves.
Section 1
Personal Hair Benefit
Eligibility
Once every 6 months, ambassadors are eligible to request new hair for personal use.
Hair Specs
Up to 24 inches in length.
Up to 250g per request.
Any color available on the Euro Collection color ring.
Permitted Use
Personal wear only. This hair is strictly for the ambassador's personal use. It may not be used on clients, colleagues, or any third party under any circumstances.
Content Requirement
In exchange for each personal hair request, the ambassador must provide:
- One video post featuring the hair
- Before & after transformation images
Quota Impact
Content created in exchange for the personal hair benefit does not count toward the ambassador's monthly content quota of 4 posts per month. These are additional deliverables.
Misuse of the personal hair benefit — including using hair on clients or colleagues — will result in immediate removal from the ambassador program.
Section 2
Referral Commission
Commission Amount
$100 cash per referred stylist. One-time per referral.
Qualifying Trigger
Commission is earned when the referred stylist places a qualifying order of $200 or more. This includes a Club Lounge membership purchase.
If the referred stylist's first order is under $200, the commission is not forfeited. It will be paid once their cumulative order total reaches $200 across multiple orders.
Tracking
Referrals are tracked via the ambassador's invitation code, which attaches to the referred stylist's account at the time of creation. No code, no commission — the link must be established at signup.
Payment
Commission is paid on the 1st of the month following the qualifying order, as part of the standard monthly cash payout.
Limit
No cap on the number of referrals. Each referred stylist is eligible for one commission per ambassador, regardless of future orders.
Section 3
Monthly Compensation
Cash Payout
$500 cash paid on the 1st of each month for the prior month's ambassador activity.
Store Credit
$500 Destination Hair store credit applied to the ambassador's account each month. Credit applies automatically at checkout and does not expire during an active program term.
Total Monthly Value
$1,000 total per month — split evenly between cash and credit. Subject to fulfillment of monthly content requirements (see Section 6).
Invoice Requirement
Ambassadors must submit an invoice to receive the monthly cash payment. Invoices should be submitted by the last day of the month for payment on the 1st.
Contractor Status
Ambassadors are engaged as independent contractors (1099), not employees of Destination Hair Extensions. Ambassadors are responsible for their own tax obligations. A Form 1099-NEC will be issued where required by law.
Section 4
Program Term & Renewal
Initial Term
The ambassador agreement runs for 6 months from the date of acceptance.
Personal Hair & Term
The personal hair benefit (Section 1) is tied to the active program term. One hair request per 6-month period. If the ambassador renews for an additional 6 months, a new hair request becomes eligible at the start of that next term.
Renewal
At the end of each 6-month term, both parties may agree to renew for an additional 6 months. Compensation amounts and terms may be reviewed at renewal.
Early Termination
Either party may end the agreement with reasonable notice. Compensation owed through the final completed month will be paid. Store credit issued is non-refundable.
Section 5
Exclusivity
Hair Extension Brands
While active as a Destination Hair ambassador, ambassadors may not promote, endorse, or create sponsored content for competing hair extension brands. This applies to paid partnerships, gifted product posts, and affiliate arrangements.
Other Categories
Exclusivity applies to hair extension brands only. Ambassadors are free to work with brands in other categories (tools, education, salon products, apparel, etc.) without restriction.
Organic Mentions
Unpromoted, organic mentions of other hair brands in personal content are at the ambassador's discretion. The intent of this clause is to prevent paid promotion of competitors, not to restrict natural conversation.
Section 6
Monthly Content Requirements
Standard Quota
4 public Instagram posts per month. Posts must be public and remain live on the ambassador's profile.
Content Direction
No scripts, briefs, or approval required. Posts should authentically feature Destination Hair — client installs, personal hair, or honest experience with the brand.
Post Breakdown
Of the 4 monthly posts, the recommended format is:
- 2 Reels — ambassador speaking on camera or via voiceover
- 1 Before & After — static image of a client install
- 1 Carousel — multi-image post
Video & Reel Requirement
All video and Reel posts must feature the ambassador speaking — either on camera or through a voiceover. Silent video, text-only overlays, and B-roll without narration do not satisfy this requirement.
Brand Differentiator
Each post must organically communicate at least one unique differentiator of Destination Hair Extensions — such as per-weft purchasing, sourcing standards, pro-only access, pricing transparency, or product quality. This does not need to be scripted. It should feel natural and come from your own experience.
Personal Hair Content
Content delivered in exchange for the personal hair benefit (see Section 1) is separate and additional. It does not count toward the monthly 4-post quota.
Consistent Failure
Ambassadors who consistently miss the monthly content requirement may be reviewed for continuation in the program.
